Voilà
Voilà asked me to create illustrations of specific foods for their website.
The illustrations were not supposed to be educational or indicative of a specific recipe, instead they had to only function as decorative elements to the website. To be prominent but discreet at the same time.
That is the reason why we decided to select an aesthetic that was classy and rustic at the same time, recognisable but not too realistic.
The elements are depicted as something in between botanical art and woodcut, while using colours which are the toned down version of the brand colour palette, in order not to overwhelm the eye and keep the product as the main character in the scene.
